Simon Dalton FCCA

Simon is a Senior Manager at KMS with 17 years experience in the insurance and reinsurance market. Simon is a qualified accountant. To date Simon has been involved in various projects including due-diligence exercises, internal audit and financial accounting functions, procedure and system development, management information systems and client reporting development.

More recently, Simon has been involved in reviewing, documenting and managing a scheme payment system for an existing client. He has also been designated as the Project Manager for a recent engagement to implement a Solvent Scheme for a European client.

After starting work in 1989 with a Lloyd's insurance broker, Simon moved to work for KWELM Management Services in 1994 and covered various roles in his time there.

Simon has experience of various elements of the insurance industry including; broker accounting, claims and reinsurance credit control, commutation and collection negotiation, reinsurance advising, IT and system development, procedure and reporting system development, project management, management and financial accounting.

He was heavily involved in the KWELM and BFMIC schemes. This started with reinsurance advising, progressing to commutation/collection activity and ending in the management of an accounting team to oversee the agreement and processing of the bar date claims.
